Sunday Summer 2021 Adult Co-Ed Turf & Grass Outdoor Soccer

This summer there will be turf soccer at Ottawa University (Matt Anthony and Lees Turf) downtown with afternoon starts (2PM, 3:30, 5, 6:30) as well as Outdoor Grass soccer at Craig Henry Park in nepean with 430 at 615PM Starts. Grass leagues will be beginner rec to upper rec focused, downtown leagues will be upper rec to intermediate.

All games are 90 minutes long with full stat tracking & fully refereed.

COVID regulations require max community sizes of 50, which means 4-team divisions with max 11 players per team. We are also lowering game size requirement to 6-on-6 (still 2 players of each gender on field at all times) so teams can handle low-sub days better, but captains are welcome to agree to play 7-on-7 before kickoff of any game. We will require teams to self screen weekly and stay home/out of the league for two weeks if any player is experiencing covid symptoms, and we require teams to notify us immediately if any of their players test positive so we can pause matches and conduct contact tracing. We are leaving 12 weeks of space for an 8 week season to account for any covid related missed weeks. At the end of the season if any team is short on games we will refund them the cost of those games if we are unable to reschedule them.

Prize structure is standard for co-ed soccer leagues with $10 in weekly sportsmanship points available per team, as well as $200 in jersey prizes to playoff winners and consumable beer trophies to the top two teams in each division.

A deposit of $200 will be required to reserve a team space. Individual players will not be placed until they have paid their registration fee.

Individuals may register as a group with friends – simply send the names of all players you want to be placed with along with your own information when you register.

Multi-Sport Mondays Summer 2021 (Multi-Sport – Soccer, Volleyball, Gaelic Football, Ultimate, Soccer Baseball, Softball)

This is a beginner oriented league with the goal of teaching people new sports and allowing them to revisit sports they never had a chance to play in a friendly, social environment. Great for meeting new people and nudging you out of your comfort zone for an hour each week to learn new skills with other beginners!

All grass sports for this league will be at Lester B Pearson field (behind the school) at 630 or 645PM. Volleyball will be either at Lester B or Mooney’s bay. Softball and soccer baseball locations TBD, but will likely have 630 and 8PM starts.

Refs will go over each sports rules before each game and all equipment is provided by us.
