Sunday Summer 2022 Adult Co-Ed Turf & Grass Outdoor Soccer

This summer there will be turf soccer at Ottawa University’s Matt Anthony Field downtown with rotating starts of 1:30, 3:00 and 4:30PM. League will run May 29th – Aug 29th, 2022 (13 games in total). Divisions will range from beginner to intermediate.

There will also be a separate grass soccer league in the west end at Craig Henry Park. This will be a bit cheaper and shorter (12 weeks), and will focus on recreational divisions. It will also feature our first 35+ division (80% of roster must be 35 and over to qualify).

All games are 90 minutes long with full stat tracking & fully refereed.

COVID regulations are still in flux and will be published to captains at league start. We do not expect to be doing any more proof of vaccine screening, but the status of summer masking and contact tracing regulations is uncertain right now.

Prize structure is standard for co-ed soccer leagues with $10 in weekly sportsmanship points available per team, as well as $200 in jersey prizes to playoff winners and consumable beer trophies to the top two teams in each division.

A deposit of $200 will be required to reserve a team space. Individual players will not be placed until they have paid their registration fee.

Individuals may register as a group with friends – simply send the names of all players you want to be placed with along with your own information when you register.

Multi-Sport Mondays Summer 2022 (Multi-Sport – Soccer, Volleyball, Gaelic Football, Ultimate, Soccer Baseball, Softball)

This is a beginner oriented league with the goal of teaching people new sports and allowing them to revisit sports they never had a chance to play in a friendly, social environment. Great for meeting new people and nudging you out of your comfort zone for an hour each week to learn new skills with other beginners!

All grass sports for this league will be at Lester B Pearson School with 630PM starts. Grass sports will follow a normal 1.5 hour 630-8PM game structure.

Volleyball will generally be a longer format and run from 530-830 or 6-9PM at Mooney’s bay.

Softball locations have not been confirmed yet but will usually have rotating 630-800 and 800-930PM games.

Refs will go over each sports rules before each game and all equipment is provided by us.

The top three finishers in each division will receive one of our beeramid trophies at the end-of-season party.

This summer there will be turf soccer at Louis Riel dome and grass soccer at Lester B Pearson with 630 and 8PM Starts. Leagues will lead towards recreational, and we will be debuting our first 35+ league (the creaky-knees division – min of 80% players over 35).

All games are 90 minutes long with full stat tracking & fully refereed.
